Joutel Mining District Gold Exploration Properties
Historic Joutel Mining District
In November 2021 Orford Mining Corp. entered into a definitive agreement with Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (“Globex”) (TSX-GMX) to acquire its 50 square km, 191 claim property position in the Joutel region of the Quebec Abitibi, the Joutel Eagle Property. The property is an advanced exploration stage property with approximately 20,000 metres of historic drilling that have defined multiple gold zones to guide our immediate exploration efforts. Amongst these are the South Gold Zone which includes a steeply dipping vein zone with grades of up to 6.8 g/t over 3.5 metres in historical drilling and is open at depth, and the Gagne Zone which consists of surface mineralization grading up to 26.2 g/t over 3.0 metres in trenching that has not been properly tested by drilling. In November 2020, Orford Mining Acquired 100% interest in the Joutel-Omega Property which coveres approximately 17,000 hectares of under explored Archean greenstone belt in Quebec’s Abitibi District. Together with the previously announced McClure East and Joutel South Properties, Orford now controls approximately 21 km2 of underexplored greenstone belt in the region.
The Joutel Eagle Property located in the Northern Abitibi, Quebec approximately 60 km SSW of Matagami and a few km west from the former mining town of Joutel and situated just to the northwest of Agnico Eagle’s past producing Eagle -Telbel operation which produced in excess of 1.1 Moz of gold1 from 1974 to 1993. The Joutel Eagle property covers 11 km of the Casa Berardi structural zone south splay (CBSZ) which is associated with several gold deposits and, together with our McClure East property, gives Orford over 17 km coverage on the prolific CBSZ. The Joutel Eagle Property sits to the north of Orford’s 100% owned Joutel South Property and to the west of Orford’s 100% owned McClure East property. Information from neighboring properties is not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on Orford Mining’s properties.
The Joutel South and McClure East Properties are gold exploration properties located along the prolific gold mineralized Casa Berardi/Joutel Structures in the Abitibi region in Northern Quebec, Canada. The Joutel South and McClure East properties are located within the Joutel Volcanic Complex (JVC) of the Harricana-Turgeon volcano-sedimentary belt, which is the most northwesterly element of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt and includes the prolific Matagami, Brouillan, Joutel and Casa Berardi mining districts (Figure 1). Revived interest in the potential of this area is highlighted by the recent announcement of the formation of the Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. – Maple Gold Mines Ltd. (TSXV: MGM) JV and Agnico Eagle’s renewed commitment of exploration resources to the area, where little has been done since Agnico Eagle closed its Eagle/Telbel Mine in 1993.
The Joutel South Property is at the southern underexplored extension of the Joutel felsic volcanic package that hosted both Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd.’s (AEM-T) founding gold mines, Eagle and Telbel, which produced in excess of 1.1Moz of gold1 and a number of copper assets that have produced 244 Mlbs of copper, 116Mlbs of zinc and 52Mlbs of silver2.
The McClure East Property is on the easterly extension of the Casa Berardi structural zone (south splay), which to the west hosts Hecla Mining Ltd’s (HL-NYSE) Casa Berardi Mine which has produced 2Moz and has reserves of 3.4M ounces3 and the nearby Douay Gold Deposit held by Maple Gold Mines (MGM-TSXV) and has 422,000 ounces in indicated and 2,532,000 in inferred resources4.
The Joutel-Omega property covers the Vanier-Dalet-Priorier Group (VDP) and Valerennes Volcanic Group (VVG). The latter ,is part of the Joutel-Raymond volcanic complex that hosts both Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd.’s (TSX: AEM) founding gold mine, Eagle/Telbel1 . To the southeast, the VDP hosts the Sleeping Giant mine which produced 978,000 ounces (3.2 Mt @ 10.48g/t Au) 5. Iinformation from neighbouring properties is not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on Orford Mining’s properties. The technical information presented here was obtained from historical work reports filed with the Quebec Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and has not been independently verified by a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. All three properties,: McClure East, Joutel South and Joutel-Omega have had very limited historical testing, are easily accessible by road and are located within proven geological belts.

Joutel Eagle Exploration Property
The Joutel Eagle Property Orford’s most advanced stage exploration property with approximately 20,000 metres of historic drilling that have defined multiple gold zones to guide our immediate exploration efforts.
The most developed zone on the Joutel Eagle property is the “South Gold Zone”, which has a strike length of approximately 700 metres and is partially tested to a depth of 500 metres below surface. The South Gold zone is comprised of two mineralized zones, a steeply dipping vein zone with grades of up to 6.8 g/t over 3.5 metres (hole 89-A-02), and a lower grade zone associated with the regional Harricana Fault which seems to be plunging

to the southeast (Table 1). The best grade of the vein zone was also the deepest intersection, suggesting grades may improve with depth. The higher-grade vein zone cross cuts the lower grade shear zone which has much longer strike extension. The plan map in Figure 3 and long section in Figure 4 show the two zones and how widely spaced the drilling has been both at shallow and deeper levels. We hope to confirm historical results and expand them to determine if a resource can be defined on the South Zone.
Figure 1: Orford Property Location Map in the Joutel region of the Abitibi District2.

The Gagné Zone in the southern part of the property has surface grades of 26.2 g/t over 3.0 metres in trenching and has not been properly tested with drilling. The Joutel Eagle property also hosts multiple satellite gold and copper intercepts (Figure 2, Table 1) in drilling across the property where no subsequent follow- up work has been completed to date.

About the Joutel Eagle Property
The Joutel Eagle Property was optioned from Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. (“Globex”) (TSX-GMX) on November 29, 2021, and consists of, 191 claim property position in the Joutel region. The agreement between Orford and Globex includes both work commitments and cash/share payments over five years for Orford to earn 100% undivided legal and beneficial interest in the Globex properties. The complete details can be found in the News release dated Nov 30, 2021
McClure East Gold Exploration Property
The McClure East Property contains the eastward extension of the mafics and felsic volcanic units of the JVS which hosts the previously operating Telbel Eagle Mines and straddles the contact marked by the CBDZ between the JVC to the south and Cartwright Hills Volcanic group to the North. The property is cut by major east-northeast trending diabase dykes (Figure 2).
Geological compilation results of historic drillhole data suggests that the felsic volcanic package, along with cherty iron formation which hosts the Eagle and Telbel Mines to the West, continue eastward toward the McClure East Property and are present more extensively than previously indicated by the SIGEOM regional geology (Figure 2).
Recent compilation work has identified previously untested exploration targets on the McClure East Property. In 1986 and 1989 two reverse circulation (RC) glacial overburden drilling and sampling programs were completed on the McClure Property totalling 21 holes. These surveys identified EM anomalies which may be the source of strongly anomalous gold values up to 30 g/t in overburden samples which had no subsequent follow up work completed (Figure 2). These target areas shown on Figure 2 will be the focus of future work.

Joutel South Gold Exploration Property
Geological and geophysical information indicates that the volcanogenic-type lithologies which host the base and precious metal mines to the north strike southwards onto the Joutel South Property (Figure 1). One historical drill hole next to the Joutel South Property returned 1.66g/t over 1m and one grab sample returned 4.28g/t (Figure 3). Little subsequent work had been completed historically.
Recent compilation by Orford Mining suggested the felsic volcanic package which hosts the historic Eagle and Telbel Mines to the north are more extensive on the Joutel South gold exploration property than previously indicated by regional geology maps.
In November 2020, Orford completed first phase of till sampling program on its Joutel South property. Gold grain counts (normalized to 10kg of material) and morphology are shown in Figure 3. Up to 61 gold grains (46% of which were pristine) were reported. Seven additional locations on Joutel South will be sampled for till by RC drilling as part of the next program.

Joutel – Omega Gold Exploration Property
The 100% Orford owned Joutel-Omega property covers approximately 17,000 hectares of underexplored Archean greenstone belt in Quebec’s Abitibi District. The new property covers the Vanier-Dalet-Priorier Group (VDP) and the Valerennes Volcanic Group (VVG). The latter is part of the Joutel-Raymond volcanic complex that hosts both Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd.’s (TSX: AEM) founding gold mine, Eagle/Telbel, which produced in excess of 1.1 Moz of gold and a number of copper mines that have produced 244 Mlbs of copper, 116Mlbs of zinc and 52 Mlbs of silver (Figure 1). To the southeast, the VDP hosts the Sleeping Giant mine which produced 978,000 ounces (3.2 Mt @ 10.48g/t Au ). Information from neighbouring properties is not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on Orford Mining’s properties. The technical information presented here was obtained from historical work reports filed with the Quebec Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and has not been independently verified by a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101.
Figure 4: Local Geology of the New Joutel-Omega Property shown with historical drill hole intercepts. Drilling intervals are down-hole lengths from historical data. True thicknesses cannot be estimated with available information.

The Joutel-Omega property is hosted in the Valerennes Volcanic Group (VVG) (Part of the Joutel-Raymond group) and the Vanier-Dalet-Priorier Group (VDP), both of which have been metamorphosed to greenschist facies and contain felsic volcanic and intermediate volcanic rocks of calc-alkaline affinity . The property hosts several major structural features including the VDP shear and several cross-structures and folds that provide opportunities for brittle deformation as well as ductile and shear deformation to concentrate gold mineralization.
Historical work completed on Orford’s new Joutel-Omegal Claims includes three diamond drill holes that identified anomalous gold that was never followed-up on. This includes hole D-1 which showed several mineralized intervals of up to 11.6m of 0.67g/t Au including higher grade intervals of 1.46m of 1.7g/t Au and other similar intervals. Drilling intervals are down-hole lengths from historical data. True thicknesses cannot be estimated with available information.
Similar to Orford’s McClure East and Joutel South properties, Joutel-Omega has had very limited historical testing and is located in proven geological belts and structures. Orford looks forward to exploring the untapped potential that the Joutel-Omega Property.
